Jorgen Sandman runs PAT tests in Sofia (BUL)
During the time October 7-12 Jorgen Sandman visited the Sports Billiard Club Flash in Sofia, the capitol of Bulgaria. It was on invitation by the President of the Bulgarian Billiard Union, Mr. Dimitar Todorov, that Jorgen visited Bulgaria for the first time what his work with Billiards Sports is concerned. A total of 18 players participated in a PAT 1 test and another 10 players in a PAT 2 test. In both tests top scores were noted (the results are already included in the PAT results on www.sandmanbilliards.com as well as in the official ranking on www.pat-billiard.com) and top of the crop was Ludmil Georgiev with 1201 points on PAT 1 and Nikola Kemilev with 1065 points on PAT 2. Jorgen Sandman was invited to participate in the most popular talkshow in Bulgaria (with around 2 million viewers) and also as a guest in the studio of the most popular sports show. A Dynamic II 9ft table was assembled for the talkshow and together the host and Jorgen Sandman performed a few trick-shots as well as a frame of 8-Ball. Jorgen Sandman was also invited to watch the WC qualification match in Soccer between Bulgaria and Italy, that took place in Sofia on Saturday, October 11. The match ended 0 - 0 and did offer a few chances in both directions. Jorgen Sandman has been invited back again for another visit during 2009 and it remains to be seen if a date can be found that will suit both parties. |

The event was organized in Alsdorf (GER), where also the inaugural meeting of the European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF) took place. With the silver medal in 8-Ball by Sven-Olof "Esso" Olsson the three-man team from Sweden won it all!
